Oster Kitchen Appliances and More!
Oster and Osterizer Kitchen Appliances and Parts and More!
As occasionally happens, I found myself killing time in Walmart. This usually happens as I wait for the wife and kids. i don't hang out there, really! :)
I found myself in front of the blenders and decided to check out which Osterizers and Oster Blenders my local Walmart carried. They carried quite a few as well as Hamilton Beach, Black and Decker, General Electric, Sunbeam, and an interesting sounding machine called the Margaritaville "Frozen Concoction Maker," but the majority of the Blenders were Oster products.
This is a super popular 7 speed blender.
It has a 6 cup size glass jar and a powerful 600 watt motor - many others have a 500 or 450 watt motor.
The stainless steel 6 point blade is ideal for both chopping food, blending, and chopping ice.
They refer to it as the "ultimate chopping and blending solution" and it features a reversible motor which helps draw food down for better and faster blending.
This is the classic Beehive Blender with the beehive shaped base in chrome, and a 500 watt motor.
It has 2 speeds plus a low speed pulse function.
The jar is glass, a ribbed and tapered design as you can see, and holds 40 ounces.
This is a long time favorite blender that has been made forever.
This is a 700 watt blender which comes with a food processor attachment.
It has a 5 cup scratch resistant glass jar which is dishwasher safe, and come with a "Ice Catcher Blade" which makes quick work of ice cubes.
Also includes an all metal drive system and easy clean system to make cleaning the jar quick and easy.
This is the entry level or "cheapie" - not the cheapest Oster makes but at around $30 a good deal.
It has a plastic jar, 10 speeds, a stainless steel blade, and a 450 watt motor.
It measures 7 by 11 by 13 inches.
Overall, a pretty good selection. It's interesting that most of their blenders were Osters! Walmart stocks what people buy, and these are some of the most popular models.
